Meet Buffy Sainte-Marie, teacher, activist and music legend!
At the age of three, Buffy Sainte-Marie taught herself to play the piano. But her path to success was anything but easy. Adopted out of her nêhiyawak (Cree) community as a baby, she grew up finding comfort in nature and self-expression in music. Buffy went on to become an educator, an artist, an activist, and a musical superstar. She has worked for decades to promote peace, protect the environment and advocate for Indigenous rights.
To this day, Buffy continues to entertain, enlighten and uplift.
